Anonymous asked: omg sorry! I was just really curious because i wanted to know if you had any suggestions for me: I really like drawing and im interested in animation and also writing and im about to start school, but i dont know what to major in... do you have any ideas about what i should do? thanks so much!
Oh I don’t know if I can help you but if you want to do animation, the best advice that I could give you is to draw a lot! Learn anatomy, perspective, go to a life drawing class, draw outside whenever you can, read “Drawn to life” by Walt Stanchfield…
And for writing, I think it’s the same. Write everyday! Read books, movie scripts (you can find them easily on Internet), screenplays… Always keep a notebook with you to write any ideas you could have (that’s what I do). There’s lots of tips on Internet like the ones from Pixar ;)
I think for the both, you have to learn the basics but you also have to keep having fun and doing what you like.
I crossed the path of this school girl in Tokyo.
